SuperQ MD80 - Elegant Simplicity

The Comtran SuperQ MD80 Advanced Jet Nozzle received FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval February 13, 2007. This approval was the culmination of eight years of intensive research and development that resulted in one of the most extensive STCs ever issued to a specific fleet of aircraft.

Implementation of the technology is uniquely simple.

• The JET Nozzle is installed onto the acoustic duct
• Modified Stang Fairings are installed on the Thrust Reverser Assembly
• The Turbine Exhaust Cone Mixer replaces the OEM Turbine Exhaust Cone

The modification is integrated concurrently with thrust reverser overhaul and the modified assembly is then installed on the aircraft in as little as four hours. This turn key solution allows your aircraft to meet Chapter 4/Stage 4 requirements after overnight conversion.
